Our Philosophy

Pryor Consulting began after years of working in the community sector and seeing brilliant organisations miss out on funding. Not because their work lacked impact, but because grants are competitive, opaque and often written for people who already have the resources to navigate them.

I started this business because I believe great work should not fall through the cracks.

There are countless organisations doing vital, thoughtful and deeply human work, but many do not know where to begin with funding, strategy or tenders. And why should they? Their expertise is in supporting people, responding to community needs and building programs that create real change.

My role is to listen. To understand the intersection of issues, the complexities and the nuance, and to help translate that into clear, compelling funding stories that reflect the true value of your work.

I care deeply about the people and organisations I work with. I do not come in with a top-down approach or a belief that I know best. You and your team are the experts. I see my work as a partnership that is grounded in respect, curiosity and a shared commitment to social impact.

I have always felt uneasy with the traditional giver and receiver model of philanthropy and government funding. It reinforces privilege, shapes who gets resourced and often leaves lived experience out of the decisions that matter most.

I want to be part of shifting that balance.

Pryor Consulting is my way of working alongside the people who are challenging systems, amplifying lived experience and building communities where everyone is supported to thrive. If I can use my skills to help these organisations secure the funding they deserve, then I am doing the work I care about.
